What We Do

​We advocate for peace AND justice, and a safe, sustainable environment, working in coalition with human rights groups, local sustainability activists, the Black Lives Matter movement and other movements for civil and personal rights like woman's rights and the rights of the LGBTQ community, and first peoples rights among others. We are allied with prison reform organizations, gun control groups and.. of course ... members of the Peace Community THROUGHOUT FLORIDA, PENNSYLVANIA and elsewhere as we grow. We are looking forward to expanding our membership to Delaware and Texas

We work to end the US occupation in the greater Middle East; prevent war with Iran; Syria and all around the world. We oppose illegal invasions BY ANY COUNRTY! We oppose the illegal invasion of Ukraine by Russia. We hold the US and NATO accountable for their role in creating conditions that gave Russia the pretext to invade. We promote nuclear weapons abolition.

We network with other associate organizations and affiliates and chapters of Peace Action around the country. 

 

We do in-district visits whenever Congress is out of session and trips or remote sessions to DC when they are in Session. We participate in Congressional Education Days, organized by National Peace Action, and help you to get on message and in the offices of Congressional Representatives. By ZOOM and, when possible, in person.

We inform with online resources that help you, and all of us, stay informed and active

in our government locally, nationally and internationally.

 

We organize protests and direct actions, coordinated with national coalitions, and local on-the-ground activists in our communities. We connect you with other activists that shows the strength of our movement.

WE BELIEVE

• THAT PROTECTING the U.S. MEANS PROVIDING FOR all U.S. RESIDENTS; AND, THAT EVERY PERSON HAS THE RIGHT TO LIVE WITHOUT THE THREAT OF NUCLEAR WEAPONS OR ENDLESS WAR.

WE BELIEVE.

• THAT WAR IS NOT A SUITABLE RESPONSE TO CONFLICT.

WE BELIEVE 

• GIVEN THE RIGHT TOOLS, ORDINARY PEOPLE, WORKING TOGETHER, CAN CHANGE THE WORLD.

Most importantly, WE BELIEVE

• That everything is connected. The Wars our government wages abroad allow and encourage the wars they wage here at home. in communities of color and on the poor.

 

 

We can only do this with the strength of a BROAD BASED, GRASSROOTS MEMBERSHIP. Membership gives us finical resources, and direct political power that enables us to stand up to the likes of AIPAC and the NRA, the gun manufacturers, the defense contractors, big oil, big ag and the alt-right.

Yearly Membership levels are:

• $12 (A dollar a month) for low income, G.I. Senior or Student

• $24 (Two dollars a month)for Individual

• $36.50 (A dime a day)for a Household. 

• Membership ensures a vote in our organization. Household membership means everyone living in the household gets one vote. (Non members may participate, but have no vote)
